Intro to Dance (Ages 3 – 6 yrs.)

This class is designed to give the little dancer a theatrical experience while teaching them ballet basics, gross motor development, listening skills, and musicality, as well as an introduction to classroom etiquette.

Ballet I (Ages 7-10 yrs.)

Our ballet classes are developed to emphasize grace and control. Your children will learn fundamental ballet vocabulary, ballet positions, French terminology, musicality, and flexibility.

Ballet II (Ages 11 & up – placement based on skill level)

This is the first introduction to a true, progressive ballet class. More advanced stretching and strengthening exercises are given, barre work is introduced with a greater emphasis on vocabulary and French terminology. Musicality continues to be emphasized along with balance and coordination through the strengthening of the body core. Center work is introduced with continued focus on the proper placement of the positions of the arms, legs, feet and torso.

Ballet III (Ages 11 & up – placement based on skill level)

This level is for those who have shown exceptional body coordination, with proficient technical grounding. The dancers in this level will build off of the previous years’ vocabulary while increasing in technical difficulty and adding musical aptitude.

Contemporary Modern I (Ages 7 & up – placement based on skill level)

Our Contemporary Modern class is designed to enhance gross motor development, listening skills, musicality, and nurture the creative spirit. This class also promotes social skills, as your children will interact with their fellow classmates in creating dance sequences and creative exercises.

Contemporary Modern II (Ages 7 & up – placement based on skill level)

In this class the techniques of classical modern dance are taught and brought to life. We begin to take their creative juices and run them through the process of applied techniques. These techniques would include movement concepts such as fall and recovery, suspension, breath, cardiovascular regiments and core strengthening. During these classes your child will begin the journey to furthering their successes in dance technique.

Kung Fu Kids Martial Arts (Ages 4 – 6 yrs.)

Our specialized Kung-fu Kids program is an age-specific curriculum that is professionally designed to teach children important life skills in a fun, exciting and enriching manner. Our secret to teaching your child coordination, concentration and self-control is a unique method we like to call “Edu-tainment”. This uses the excitement and fun of the Kung-Fu Kids martial arts skills to teach key life lessons you would want your child to know as well as the self confidence to walk with their heads held high in knowing that they are wonderfully made.

Kung-Fu Club & Kung Fu Academy Martial Arts (Ages 7 -adult)

This is truly a challenging age for our children. They come in contact with bullies in school and may not be sure how to protect themselves. This uncertainty can bring about self-doubt. We create an environment for the discovery of confidence and trust. Or maybe your child is the one being sent to the principal’s office for aggression towards their classmates. Our instructors help to give your child an outlet for physical expression in a very structured atmosphere. Maybe it is none of the above, but rather a skill that you see as valuable to your children long term: respect, discipline and control.
